Our Curriculum

Pre-K | 3/4s | 2/3s

Centers, circle time, and the small group activity relate to a weekly theme (i.e. animals, seasons, holidays, etc.).

Children can choose from any of the activities set up in our classroom. In addition to these choices, "centers" are set up each class day with fresh fun explorations, including: enrichment projects, crafts, science exploration, math, language, puzzles, creative play, and more.

Circle time focuses on music, colors, shapes, language development, story time, letters, and numbers. We work on extending the length of circle time throughout the year in preparation for Kindergarten. 3/4s and Pre-K classes include Zoo-phonics and further preparations for Kindergarten.

The class is broken into small groups for a variety of small group activities, such as fine motor skills, writing, scissors, numbers, craft projects, and more.

The children have a lot of opportunities to spend time exploring in our outdoor environment through various sensory and gross motor opportunities.

We also enjoy field trips and experiences, including trips to the pumpkin patch, library, and Windsor Family Farm.  We learn about our community helpers from presentations by MHPD, CAL FIRE, dentists, and other local healthcare workers.

Toddler & Me

This once a week class is designed to introduce toddlers and their families to preschool. The class experience introduces toddlers to shared space with their peer groups and encourages parents to experience the joys and community of a parent co-op preschool. The parent participants will assist in the children’s learning experience by facilitating interactions in the classroom.
